It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear colleague Maria Karvounidou on Tuesday 4th November.
Maria came to us as part of her Masters in Marketing Practice at University of Galway, having recently moved to Ireland from Greece to pursue her postgraduate studies. Though she was only beginning her professional journey, Maria’s talent and dedication were immediately evident. She approached her work with deep curiosity and an eagerness to learn, combining natural brightness with sincere conscientiousness. In just a few short weeks, she had already made her mark on our business.
But what we’ll remember most about Maria isn’t her professional promise, as real as that was. It’s her gentle, warm presence that brought joy to our team. Maria had an openness and applied it to building her new life in Ireland. Like Galway itself, Maria was passionate about the arts. She threw herself into experiencing everything her adopted city had to offer: dance classes, art, evenings filled with music. She was building something beautiful here; a community, friendships, a life full of possibility.
Though Maria’s time with us was far too brief, her memory will remain with us. She reminded us what it means to approach both work and life with openness, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm. We are better for having known her.
Our deepest sympathies are with Maria’s parents, Theodoros and Sofia, her siblings, her niece, and all who loved her. We hold you in our thoughts during this difficult time.
