Ronspot Is First Workplace Platform to Launch App in Irish Language

Ronspot, the Galway-founded workplace management platform, today became the first enterprise workplace platform globally to launch its employee booking app in Irish – enabling users to book desks, meeting rooms, and parking spaces entirely through the Irish language.

One of Europe’s leading workplace management platforms, Ronspot combines intuitive employee space booking with advanced workplace intelligence. The platform tracks actual office occupancy through integrated sensors and access control systems, delivering data-driven insights that inform real estate decisions while giving employees simple tools to coordinate their hybrid workweek.

The Irish-language version of the employee app arrives as the 2030 targets under the National Action Plan for Irish draw closer, with the public sector aiming for 20% of new recruits to be proficient Irish speakers. As these targets approach, demand for workplace technology that enables employees to work seamlessly through Irish is accelerating.

Complete Employee Booking Experience in Irish

Employees using the Irish-language app can browse interactive office maps, check real-time availability, coordinate with colleagues in the office, and manage their bookings in their preferred language.

The localisation project involved collaboration with members of the Irish-speaking community to ensure the language feels natural and appropriate for professional workplace contexts.

As a native Galwegian who built Ronspot from the west of Ireland, supporting the Irish language isn’t just about compliance – it’s who we are,” said Michael Furey, Founder and CEO of Ronspot. “As we’ve grown and our team has expanded, we’ve been able to invest properly in bringing our employee app to Irish speakers – not just translation, but working with the Irish-speaking community to ensure authentic, workplace-appropriate language throughout.

Supporting Organisations Meeting Official Languages Act Requirements

Irish public sector organizations continue to work toward enhanced bilingual service delivery under the Official Languages Act. Ronspot already serves 11 Irish government departments and agencies, along with organizations including DCC, the Central Bank of Ireland, Bank of Ireland, Glanbia, and Tirlán.

“Technology plays a vital role in the everyday use of the Irish language,” Furey added. “By bringing Irish into the workplace booking tools employees use daily, we’re helping to normalise and strengthen the language in professional environments.”

Global Growth from Irish Roots

Founded in Galway in 2018, Ronspot has grown to serve thousands of users across 44 countries. The company recently secured multi-year, multi-market contracts with Siemens and Eli Lilly and has grown its team by 15% in 2025, reflecting strong international demand for its platform.

The company’s approach built around their deep integration capabilities with access control systems, sensors, and building infrastructure –  has given it a competitive edge in complex enterprise environments worldwide.

While the current Irish release focuses on the employee-facing app, Ronspot will consider expanding to additional platform features based on customer demand.

The Irish-language version of the Ronspot employee booking app is available immediately to all new and existing customers through the Ronspot app. The launch positions Ronspot as the workplace technology partner of choice for Irish organisations navigating both hybrid work transformation and Official Languages Act compliance.
