Introducing Ronspot V13: Sleeker Design, Easier Booking

We’re excited to announce the launch of Ronspot version 13, a full redesign of our mobile app that brings a modern experience without changing the way you use your favorite features!

This update introduces a fresh new interface, simplified navigation, improved translations, and several new features that make workspace booking smoother and more intuitive than ever before.

Let’s dive into what’s new in version 13:

Navigation Reimagined


Previously, Ronspot’s mobile app featured a bottom navigation bar with five options: Home, Calendar, Scan QR Code, Search Bookings, and Profile. While this layout provided quick access to key areas of the app, user feedback revealed that it wasn’t fully aligned with actual usage patterns.

In particular, two of the five tabs — Scan QR Code and Search Bookings — were infrequently used, taking up valuable space on the main navigation bar. More importantly, there was no direct access to the Map, despite it being one of the most popular and frequently visited features for users booking spaces.

With Version 13, we’ve reimagined how navigation should work — without changing the overall layout. The bottom navigation bar remains, but it’s now cleaner, more modern, and more user-friendly.

Navigation Bar

✔️ We’ve kept the most important tabs: Home, Calendar, and Profile

✔️ Added a new Map shortcut to quickly jump to the map

✔️ Introduced a central “+” button that gives quick access to additional features

✔️ Upgraded to modern icons with clear text labels that are easier to recognise

This redesign doesn’t just look better — it works better. By focusing on your most-used actions and organising everything more clearly, the new navigation makes booking, searching, and managing spaces faster and more intuitive than ever.

A Full Visual Redesign


We’ve completely reimagined the look and feel of the Ronspot app. The updated design is cleaner, more modern, and easier to navigate, creating a friendlier and more professional user experience.

Home Screen

We’ve made several enhancements to the Home screen to improve clarity, usability, and overall user experience:

Card Layout

✔️ Bookings are now shown in a card-based layout instead of single lines, making the interface cleaner and more visually structured.

✔️ “Today” and “Tomorrow” labels replace actual dates for immediacy.

✔️ Future bookings now display weekday abbreviations (e.g., “Tue 15 July”).

Action Buttons

✔️ Action buttons are no longer inline to prevent layout issues and mistaps.

✔️ Tapping a booking card expands it to reveal all action buttons, each on a separate line.

✔️ If Check-in is available, the button appears directly in the collapsed view to promote quick check-ins.

✔️ “Report a violation” has been renamed to “Space taken?” to be clearer and more user-friendly.

Calendar Screen

We’ve also introduced visual and functional refinements to the Calendar to enhance usability and clarity:

Visual Updates

✔️ Refreshed layout for a cleaner look.

✔️ Larger date numbers for easier reading.

Availability Representation

✔️ Faded availability circles to match the new design.

✔️ No availability now shows as an empty cell (replacing the old crossed circle).

✔️ Blocked days (weekends, public holidays) use a light grey background for better visibility.

Booking Summary

✔️ Booking names removed due to space constraints.

✔️ Each day now shows a count of bookings in a small orange ribbon.

Making a Booking

Creating a booking is one of the core features in Ronspot. While the functionality remains unchanged, we’ve redesigned the booking popup to offer a smoother, more intuitive experience—with a cleaner, more modern look.

Visual Updates

✔️ The height of the popup has been increased to improve readability and ease of interaction.

✔️Dates now display weekday abbreviations (e.g., “Tue 15 July”) for better clarity at a glance.

✔️ The Ronspot logo has been replaced with a dynamic vector image that reflects the zone type—a car park or workspace icon is shown based on the zone type.

Same Functionality, Better Design

✔️ Credits are now shown as stars instead of coins, and decimal values have been removed for a cleaner presentation.

✔️ The action button for opening the map and selecting a random space has been updated with a modern design—while keeping the same functionality you’re familiar with.

Map Screen

In line with the overall redesign of the app, the Map screen has received a light refresh to reflect the new modern aesthetic and improve usability.

Easy Access

✔️ The map is now directly accessible from the bottom navigation bar, making it quicker to reach.

✔️ The zone dropdown is now visible by default, allowing you to easily switch between zones without needing to open the calendar first.

✔️ The refresh icon has been relocated from the top of the screen to a floating button on the map, making it easier to update availability at a glance.

Visual Changes

✔️ While the color codes remain the same, we’ve updated the shading and tones to make the map easier to read and visually more consistent.

✔️ The color deficiency mode has been improved (not shown in the example), making availability statuses clearer and more distinguishable for users with color vision deficiencies.

Profile Section

The user profile screen has also received a thoughtful redesign to provide clearer access to account details.

Visual Changes

✔️ The profile now clearly displays the employee’s details, creating a more polished profile header.

✔️ Action buttons are now grouped into separate cards, making them easier to identify and interact with.

✔️ The “Edit profile” option is now prominently displayed at the top of the screen, making it easier for users to update their information.

New Options

✔️ If using credits, the current credit balance and the date of the next refill are now shown directly in the profile.

✔️ A shortcut to sync bookings with your calendar has been added, making schedule management easier.

✔️ A new option to check in using Wi-Fi is now available (if enabled by your administrator).

Powerful New Functionalities


Version 13 isn’t just about looks—it’s packed with new features that make Ronspot even more powerful:

Daily Calendar View

Switch to a day-by-day view on the Calendar screen using the icon in the top right corner. This makes it easier to see and manage daily bookings at a glance.

Quick Booking

No more digging through the calendar or map. Tap the + icon, enter your requirements, and get a spot in seconds.

Wi-Fi Check-In

If enabled in Admin Panel > Account > Integrations, users can now check in automatically when they connect to the corporate Wi-Fi.

Team Booking View

Team leaders can now select their team and view all bookings highlighted on the map—a huge boost for visibility and coordination.

Manage Guest Bookings

Tap the arrow icon next to your name on the Home screen to access and manage guest bookings, including the ability to cancel them.

Days Until Credit Refill

On the Profile screen, users can now see how many days remain until their next credit refill.

Delete Account

To support GDPR compliance, we’ve added an option for users to delete their own account directly from the Profile screen.
