Too Many Employees, Too Few Spaces, and Growing Frustration
In 2021, Willis Towers Watson were tasked with managing the influx of cars to their parking lot in in Elm Park, Co. Dublin. With over 4 times as many employees than parking spots, allocating parking spaces fairly was a challenge for Damien Dunne, Facilities Services Lead, and his team.
Moreover, ensuring that employees used their parking space was difficult too. For employees who prefer to drive to work, it can be really frustrating to arrive by public transport or bike, and find there are free parking spaces onsite. WTW decided to introduce Ronspot to help manage their parking spaces more effectively, along with increasing space utilisation and occupancy.
“Very straightforward setup and operation. Excellent system, very easy to use and administer.”

Tackling the Problems to Be Solved
Ronspot worked hand-in-hand with Willis Towers Watson to tackle their parking challenges — addressing not only today’s pressures but also preparing for future needs. The Ronspot platform, with its smart parking management and booking features, was seamlessly introduced and quickly embraced at the Dublin office.
Here’s what WTW was facing — and how Ronspot solved it:
Uncertainity and Frustration
With over four times more employees than available parking spaces, staff had no way of knowing if a spot would be available before leaving home.
Ronspot introduced a booking system that lets employees see real-time availability and reserve a space in advance, removing uncertainty and ensuring fair access.
Unfair Access
Without a fair process, employees felt parking was allocated inconsistently. Some always secured spaces, while others missed out entirely, creating tension across the office.
Ronspot’s credit-based system and automated allocation ensured fair distribution, while transparent booking rules gave everyone equal visibility and opportunity.
Admin Overload
Office administrators were spending unnecessary time managing parking requests, resolving disputes, and tracking usage manually.
A self-serving platform reduced management overhead and made it easy to oversee usage without extra admin effort.
Under-Utilised Parking
Spaces were often booked but left unused, leading to inefficiency and frustration among employees who needed them.
Real-time management features automatically released unused spots, ensuring maximum utilisation every day.
Scaling with Hybrid Work
As the workforce expanded and hybrid work became the norm, the challenge of managing limited parking was only set to intensify.
The Ronspot system offered the flexibility to adapt to growth and evolving hybrid work patterns with ease.
The Results: Fair Access, Full Visibility, and Happier Employees
By introducing Ronspot’s parking management system, Willis Towers Watson turned a daily pain point into a smooth, transparent, and fair process that benefits both employees and administrators.
